I am Marina Burke, a retired elementary school teacher. After retiring in June 2010, I found that a lot of casual clothing for women of a certain age, just didn’t seem to represent my idea of trendy and stylish. I imagined comfortable yet fashionable clothing. Instead, I found a crazy mix of matronly frills, bedazzled, floral prints, tent tops and dresses, and baggy shorts and pants. So, I decided to search for age-appropriate clothing that mixed the current trends with timeless classics. Dowdy and frumpy were not adjectives I wanted to describe my mature appearance. After all, we’re not old! We are gracefully aged to perfection. So follow me on this quest to dress up or down with flattering and attractive fashion sense for the retired or mature woman.
